Hand carved and hand polished in Madagascar, these substantial labradorite spheres turn light into something worth watching. Tilt one and the labradorescence rolls across the surface — flashes of peacock blue, gold, green and occasionally violet, drifting over a stormy grey base. No two are alike, and every sphere carries the natural inclusions, feathering and colour variation that mark it as genuine, hand-worked stone.
At roughly 2.8" across and weighing between 450g and 600g, these are proper hand-fillers with real presence — heavier and more substantial than the small tumbled pieces most people start with.
A note on flash: labradorite only ever shows sporadic flash on a sphere. Because the curved surface catches light from every angle, the colour will appear in patches and sweeps as you rotate it, rather than lighting up the whole ball at once. This is completely normal and is the nature of the stone, not a flaw in the carving.
